HISTORY

In 2002, a fund was created at The Erie Community Foundation as an opportunity for young Erie residents to engage in philanthropy. The organization went dormant for a few years and was relaunched in 2020 with the same vision under the name Young Erie Philanthropists.

Today, we are proudly known as the Emerging Erie Fund, a group of emerging leaders working to create a lasting impact in our community through collective giving. We award annual grants to support local people and places and offer education, networking, and events to members.
