We’re grateful to have them on our teams as they make a meaningful impact during one of the Foundation’s busiest seasons. Get to know Rachel, James, Wyatt, and Madeline below!
Rachel Hardner A familiar face at the Foundation, Rachel is returning for her second summer internship in the Marketing & Communications department after an unforgettable Erie Gives 2024 experience. A rising senior at the University of Dayton majoring in marketing and finance, she’s passionate about creating meaningful impact through nonprofit work or event planning.

James Tonks James is a graduate student at Mercyhurst University with plans to pursue a career in college athletics or higher education. He was drawn to ECF by the opportunity to support meaningful work in his hometown and is eager to expand his knowledge in donor relations and fund agreements.

Wyatt Post A rising junior at Gannon University, Wyatt is majoring in finance and hopes to merge that path with his interest in philanthropy. His goal is to create a life rooted in purpose, and he’s excited to spend his summer helping to strengthen the Erie community.

Madeline Emerson Madeline is a rising senior at Gannon University, studying Advertising Communications and Digital Media Communications. She joined ECF to gain hands-on nonprofit experience and explore how marketing strategies differ across sectors. Her creativity and curiosity are great assets to the team.
