Invisible Battles: How Social Pressures Impact the Mental and Physical Health of Women and Girls
Women and girls face increasing social pressures—from social media and beauty standards to academic, workplace, and cultural expectations—that can take a serious toll on mental and physical health. These “invisible battles” often begin early in life and can contribute to anxiety, disordered eating, chronic stress, and burnout.
Join the Erie Women’s Fund for an educational panel discussion exploring how these pressures show up in our community, the early warning signs to watch for, and how families, organizations, and systems can better support the mental health and well-being of women and girls. Panelists will share practical insights and prevention-focused strategies to build healthier, more resilient futures.
