Mission

Mercyhurst Preparatory School is a four-year coeducational Catholic secondary school founded by the Sisters of Mercy to prepare students from all religious and ethnic backgrounds for a successful, productive, and compassionate life in an ever-changing and interdependent world. A Mercyhurst Prep education is based upon the teachings of Jesus Christ and a modeling of Judeo-Christian values, excellence in academic and co-curricular programs, service to our local and global communities, and the dedication and active support of the students, parents, faculty, staff, and alumni of the Mercyhurst community.

Programs and Services

• Mercyhurst Prep provides outstanding academics including the exclusive International Baccalaureate World program, as well as award winning performing and visual arts and championship sports programs. More than 50% of our students attend with the help of scholarship and financial aid. Mercyhurst Prep has a nearly 90 year tradition of academic excellence and Mercy values of compassionate presence, justice, service, hospitality and concern for the dignity of all persons. Students perform thousands of hours of community service work, far surpassing requirements.
