Olivia Burgess Promoted to Director of Collective Giving at The Erie Community Foundation

ERIE, P.A., January 7, 2025 – The Erie Community Foundation is pleased to announce the promotion of Olivia Burgess to Director of Collective Giving. In her new role, Burgess will oversee the strategy and administration of the Foundation's three Affinity Funds: the Erie Women’s Fund, the LGBT Fund of The Erie Community Foundation, and the Emerging Erie Fund. Her responsibilities will include managing donor engagement, stewardship, cultivation and supporting all aspects of grantmaking, development and strategic initiatives for these funds.
“I am thrilled to take on this new role and continue to work with the donors and volunteers who remind me how much we can achieve when we come together with a shared vision,” said Burgess, who has been with the Foundation for three years. “The donors inspire me every day, and it's a true privilege to work with them in this capacity.”
Burgess first joined The Erie Community Foundation in 2022 as Executive Coordinator. In 2023, she was promoted to Philanthropic Services Officer, and now, with her promotion to Director of Collective Giving, Olivia will continue to strengthen The Foundation's efforts to create a thriving region for all, today and tomorrow.

A proud Union City native, Burgess graduated as the valedictorian of her class at Allegheny College in 2021 with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Journalism in the Public Interest. She now resides in Erie with her husband.
